Quick start

  1. Open a conversation on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, or Grok.
  2. Click the Chat Porter toolbar icon to open the side panel.
  3. Context copies a compact hand-off pack. Export opens a review window with checkboxes and format choices.
  4. With no account, open the panel and click Try the demo to test every feature.

Common questions

Does Chat Porter send my chats anywhere?
No. Parsing and export happen locally; there are no servers, analytics, or accounts.

Why are attachments links instead of attached files?
The extension preserves the original file name, type, and download link. It does not fetch the binary file from the AI service.

Does it work on my phone?
No. Chrome extensions only run on desktop Chrome (Windows, macOS, Linux) and ChromeOS. Chat Porter is not available on Chrome for Android or iOS.

Why is “Include Thinking / Reasoning” disabled?
The page did not expose any reasoning blocks in its DOM, or they are still collapsed. Expand them on the site and reopen the panel.

Why does Chrome show an “Unpacked extension” badge?
That is Chrome’s own indicator for locally loaded extensions. It disappears when the extension is installed from the Chrome Web Store.
